Telemetry: Carlos Sainz lost P3 in qualifying due to cold tyres after a poor preparation lap | 2023 Australian GP. Carlos lost P3 in qualifying due to cold tyres.

Telemetry data from the qualifying session for the 2023 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at the 5.278-kilometre Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne shows Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz lost P3 due to the cold tyres after a poor preparation lap in traffic:

Carlos Sainz lost 4 tenths to poleman Max Verstappen in the first sector of his fastest Q3 lap due to cold tyres . The Spaniard’s best sectors combined would have put him in third place for Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix, a race which the Ferrari man will start from fifth place, two positions ahead of his Maranello teammate Charles Leclerc.
