Circuit Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan has hosted 6 Grands Prix between 2016 and 2021

STATISTICS / STATS

The Baku City Circuit is a motor racing circuit in Baku, Azerbaijan constructed near Baku Boulevard. A lap of the circuit is 6.003 kilometres (3.730 mi), which makes it the second-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar. The inaugural Formula One race at the circuit was the 2016 European Grand Prix and its support events. One year later, in 2017, the circuit held the inaugural Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Baku street circuit features a contrast between the ancient city and its famous mediaeval walls dating back to the twelfth century and the modern part, where the skyline features buildings such as the Heydar Alivey Center. One unusual fact about this track is that it is below sea-level.
