Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc took pole position for the the 2022 F1 Italian Grand Prix. At Monza, in front of the Tifosi, the Maranello team will therefore start in front of everyone thanks to the 1:20.161 of the Monegasque. This is pole number 17 for Charles Leclerc (the second in Monza). An easy result, considering the penalties received the most of the competitive opponents, but the Ferrari driver still secured the pole position “on track”, beating Max Verstappen (2nd at +0.145), Carlos Sainz (3rd), Sergio Perez (4th) and Lewis Hamilton (5th) °). All these drivers which finished behind Charles will take grid penalties for tomorrow’s Italian Grand Prix, so in the first row there will be George Russell (+1.381). Second row for Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, fifth for Daniel Ricciardo ahead of Pierre Gasly.
