A thrilling qualifying session at Spa-Francorchamps. A whirlwind of emotions since Q1, but the most surprising moments took place in Q3, sadly without Ferrari involved in the final part of qualifying .
After a scary crash for Lando Norris, when everything seemed to be in the hands of Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen pulls the rabbit out of the hat and takes a very important pole in front of the oranje tide following him. The real magic, however, is done by George Russell, who dreamed of pole for a few seconds before the Dutch Red Bull driver completed his fastest lap, but the talented young British driver will still start from the first row in front of the world champion’s Mercedes.
Ferrari disappoints: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz failed to make the cut in Q2 and will be forced to start from the sixth and seventh row respectively. Alfa Romeo also with a poor performance, as both drivers were eliminated in Q1: Antonio Giovinazzi is only 15th, while Kimi Raikkonen will start from the penultimate row behind Mick Schumacher. Yuki Tsunoda is also behind, 16th, while Lance Stroll will close the group due to the penalty of five positions remedied after the crash he caused at the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
