After the United States Grand Prix F1 qualifying session, here’s the starting grid for the race and the penalties already handed out: the two Ferrari cars will start from the second row. Lando Norris will start from pole position, followed by Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz. Spectacle and numerous overtakes are expected at the 5.513-kilometre Circuit of The Americas, with the World Championship battle still wide open.
Engines are revving up ahead of the Austin Grand Prix, the first event of a long triple-header on the American continent. After Texas, the circus will move to Mexico and then Brazil, concluding the first half of the season’s finale. The World Championship battle is still wide open: Max Verstappen vs. Lando Norris, Red Bull vs. McLaren, and we can’t forget Scuderia Ferrari.
The Sprint Race hints at a race within everyone’s reach: performance levels appear particularly even, and winning will be a matter of both strategy and raw skill in close combat. Duels could be frequent, and drivers will need steady nerves. Qualifying position will mean little over the course of the race, but it will be crucial to survive the tricky first corner unscathed.
