Surely this is not a lucky period for the Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, except for the contract renewal with the Maranello team until 2024. The 27 year old Spanish driver is in fact coming after two consecutive retirements in the Australian Grand Prix and the Imola track, two races which ended after only a few laps for Carlos.
And in general the feeling with the very fast F1-75 has not been the best and on several occasions, as the Spaniard admitted to having had a much better feeling with the 2021 Ferrari F1 car. In 2021, Carlos was able to constantly match the performances of his Maranello teammate – and current championship leader – Charles Leclerc. With this in mind, the weekend in Miami was marked on the calendar by Carlos Sainz as a turning point in the season and we are waiting to understand the performance level of Ferrari against Red Bull at the Miami International Autodrome.
But the weekend in Florida didn’t start in the best way possible for Carlos, as the Spanish driver hit a metal structure while entering a side passage of the pitlane. In addition to the blow, the Spaniard was slightly injured, being the first to be surprised at the sight of the trickle of blood on his forehead.
A small accident, but clearly nothing serious therefore for Carlos Sainz, who from today will be on track for the two free practice sessions ahead of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
