Best Formula 1 audience result of the season during the Budapest race, averaging over 1.5 million viewers
Despite the race disappointing many Ferrari fans who, after Charles Leclerc’s spectacular pole position, were hoping for a long-awaited Ferrari victory in Formula 1, the Hungarian Grand Prix turned out to be the most-watched race of the season so far on Sky’s channels: Sky Sport Uno, Sky Sport F1, and Sky Sport 4K. Motorsport enthusiasts remained glued to the broadcast of a race that still delivered excitement and several dramatic moments.
Charles Leclerc’s frustration coincided with peak audience numbers
McLaren’s latest one-two finish—historic for the British manufacturer and significant in the drivers’ championship fight, with Lando Norris closing the gap to teammate Oscar Piastri—combined with Leclerc’s highly charged radio outburst directed at the Ferrari pit wall, drew an average total audience of 1,545,000 viewers. This represented a 15.3% share and set a new season record for Formula 1 viewership on Sky.
