The most awaited day for Ferrari fans has arrived. The F1 75 event scheduled for the evening in London will unveil the livery of the new SF-25, most likely on a previous car model. However, it doesn’t matter much, because just a few minutes later, Ferrari will publish the digital images of the 2025 car on its channels, expected on Wednesday at Fiorano for the first laps on track. The presentation of the Prancing Horse will be a step-by-step process, with efforts made to hide the more sensitive areas.
The information from the renders
The first images of the SF-25, expected between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM Central European Standard Time, will be in the form of digital renders, which are typically not entirely faithful to reality and can easily be altered by the teams. In recent years, however, Ferrari has been one of the teams most accurate with their renders, without changing the main design choices. Even more so, the Prancing Horse would have no reason to mislead the public, as the real car will be running at Fiorano a few hours later, exposed to the lenses of photographers.
Tuesday evening will reveal the basic choices for the SF-25’s architecture, especially regarding the suspension system. All eyes are on the dualism between the push-rod and pull-rod layouts, but also pay attention to the arrangement of other external elements. The renders will also show the cockpit position and the geometry of the air intakes, areas that are of great interest to the teams and indicative of the work done on the cooling system.
Hidden floor
The discussion becomes more complicated for the aerodynamics. In previous years, renders have also anticipated the sidepod lines, appendages surrounding the halo, and especially the nose-wing assembly. However, the tech-savvy audience will have to wait for the Fiorano shakedown to observe the work done on the floor, the most crucial area for ground effect cars, which is typically hidden or altered in the digital images released at launch. After all, the most significant updates on the 2025 cars are the ones you can’t see, hidden from the public’s eyes.
