Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel reflects on what will be his last race with Ferrari, the 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Seb has finished the qualifying session in P13:
“I think I had decent laps. It’s not like I expected much more. It was quite okay. The result is of course pretty bad, but I’m satisfied with myself. I reached pretty early the limit of the car… When I tried to go faster, it didn’t work”. – the German driver admitted at the end of the qualifying session which took place at the Yas Marina circuit.
Seb about tomorrow’s race: “It will be very special for the people who are in the garage, the mechanics and the engineers. I feel very close to them. It seems like it will be a painful and difficult race tomorrow, but it will be the last one, so I can’t wait to get in the car. I’m looking forward to seeing the checkered flag tomorrow. The season was so bad, that I’m really happy that it is over now. I’m just trying to do my best. Tomorrow will be emotional, especially with the mechanics in the garage. As far as the result is concerned, it won’t be a climax. This season does not reflect really well the time I had with this team. But you always live in the present, so looking back is difficult. I certainly expect it will be somehow emotional. But I am equally happy and relieved that it is over”. – Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel concluded ahead of his last race with the Maranello team.
