Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel comments and impressions at the end of the first two practice sessions for the Belgian Grand Prix:

“We are trying everything we can. Today was certainly not a good day in terms of results. We tried a lot and hopefully learned a lot, so that we make sure it looks better tomorrow. As always there are no guarantees. We don’t have many options with the setup. We have a package for Spa and Monza, with Monza being one step less in terms of downforce level. If we go even further down at Spa with the downforce, the lap times will become slower. But we also can’t afford more downforce, because then we will be too slow on the straights… The balance did not fit at all. We experimented a lot, even trying very risky setups. But nothing helped..”
