After kneeling before the flags, Sebastian Vettel commented on his experience: “It was an incredible moment. It was obviously a very difficult moment 30 years ago, with a horrible weekend. Remembering Ayrton and Roland was emotional, it’s so nice to see so many people who felt joy and enthusiasm, when I brought out the flags there was a roar. It was special, I shouted their names under the helmet. On that May 1st, Ayrton had the Austrian flag in the car, I think if we look to the sky we can see them both. The car is so beautiful to drive, I wish I could go back in time and race against those guys. I think the audience enjoyed the noise, it was magnificent to bring these memories back to the track. Ayrton and Roland, but certainly Ayrton in particular, were two of the true heroes of this sport.” – the former Ferrari driver concluded.
