Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel comments and impressions after a very disappointing Belgian Grand Prix for the Maranello team, who did not manage to scor any points:
“I tried a lot of things to drive around these problems, but we were not quick enough. We cannot pull out miracles. We need to stay calm, not get frustrated as being frustrated doesn’t take you anywhere. Hopefully the problems are Spa-specific. There are a lot of lessons from this weekend and we have two important races coming we need to focus on. The package is what it is. We need to stay optimistic and see the good things, even if there are not many.” – Sebastian Vettel explaiend.
“I think today has shown all the weaknesses of the car, all the weaknesses that exist. We need to work on those. We shouldn’t expect miracles for next week but it should be a bit better. It would be nice to find the philosopher’s stone overnight, but I don’t think you can find it anywhere, it’s not there. We have to keep on doing the small steps right and optimise our package. In this respect there is no revolution overnight. What we can do is to optimise our package and I hope we will be better next week..” – the German driver concluded.
