Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel comments and impressions after P10 at the 2020 British Grand Prix in Silverstone:
“That was a very difficult race, because I couldn’t challenge anyone. Many of those behind me were a bit faster and managed to get past, as I was struggling massively to find grip in this car, even though I tried lots of different things this weekend. I didn’t have the required pace and so my confidence level is quite low at the moment, because I’m struggling to get a feel for the car and every time I try and push, I lose the car. I think we need to have a look at this problem together with the engineers.” – Sebastian Vettel admitted.
“The way it is now, we are not getting anywhere. There is something fundamentally wrong somewhere, either with me or the car. It is not the most stressful time but certainly not the nicest..I had a lot of hope at the start but starting from the first lap, I didn’t feel good in the car. With that feeling you can’t really attack and it’s more of saving [the car] than attacking the guys in front. I have been around here for a long time now and if I am missing some track time it is certainly not ideal but I have had enough laps [in my career] to easily find the rhythm again. Normally that’s a strength and not a weakness.” – the German driver concluded at the end of the 2020 British GP.
