What was meant to be a celebration nearly took a dramatic turn. During the Ferrari-organized event in Milan, Lewis Hamilton faced an unexpected risk just days before the start of the new season.
And no, it wasn’t the donuts that thrilled the thousands of Tifosi who had packed the streets of the city since the early morning. What truly alarmed Ferrari’s management was the real possibility of the seven-time world champion getting injured so close to the official debut in Australia.
The video that scared the fans
Footage circulating on social media shows Lewis Hamilton in a precarious moment while greeting the Ferrari supporters. After finishing his exhibition on the streets of Milan, the British driver stepped onto a tire, lost his balance, and came dangerously close to injuring himself.
However, his quick reflexes saved him—he immediately realized what was happening and jumped off as if nothing had occurred. The video also captures the moment Ferrari mechanics, visibly startled, rushed to check on him and seek reassurance.
Lewis Hamilton quickly reassured his team before heading toward the stage in Piazza Castello, where he was once again met with the warmth of the Ferrari fans.

This isn’t the first time the seven-time champion has found himself in such a situation. During pre-season testing in Bahrain, he also had a near-miss when he almost fell while stepping out of the golf cart transporting him to the pits.
