Roberto Chinchero on 2024 F1 cars: “Ferrari optimistic, but there is a problem”. Motorsport expert Roberto Chinchero reflects on Ferrari's prospects for 2024.

There are some rumors, many questions and above all, high expectations regarding the Scuderia Ferrari single-seater for the 2024 Formula 1 season, known as Project 676. In Maranello, they have been working on this car for several months now, accompanied by some optimistic statements that speak of problems which have been understood and tenths that have been gained as compared to the 2023 Formula 1 car, the SF-23.

Italian journalist and motorsport expert Roberto Chinchero has also confirmed this trend after personally experiencing the atmosphere at the factory during the Christmas lunch with Frederic Vasseur and the media. However, there is still a significant challenge.

“I believe that in Ferrari, they are quite optimistic, convinced of the project, but Fred Vasseur said something important: no one today knows what others are doing. You can be sure of what you are doing, then you get on the track and get confirmation, but if the opponent has found something more, you look like a fool. In Maranello, they spent much of 2023 developing the car for this year and understood the critical points, but Bahrain will be the one to speak,” explained the Italian journalist in a recent interview.
