Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz will begin the 2022 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix from pole position at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot, with Red Bull’s Sergio Perez starting on the front row of the grid alongside Carlos, after several penalties were applied.
Formula 1 title rivals Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc are two of the drivers to drop towards the back, with the pair lining up 15th and 16th respectively, while Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Lando Norris, Zhou Guanyu and Mick Schumacher are the other names hit with engine and gearbox sanctions. The starting grid below is provisional until confirmed by Formula 1’s governing body, the FIA.
