Revised floor edge for Ferrari F1-75 at Yas Marina | 2022 Abu Dhabi GP. Revised floor edge for Ferrari F1-75 at Yas Marina.

Scuderia Ferrari has introduced a small floor update on the Ferrari F1-75 car at the Yas Marina circuit for the 2022 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, which is primarily seen as a test in view of next year’s challenger, as revealed by the FIA ahead of the first free practice session for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Here is the official report for updated component for the Maranello team, which the FIA presents each weekend ahead of the F1 race weekend:

Scuderia Ferrari
Updated component: Floor Edge

Primary reason for update: Performance: Flow Conditioning

Geometric differences compared to previous version: Rearward portion of the floor edge curled upwards

Brief description on how the update works: this new floor edge component is a very localized and minor update in front of the tyre cutout. Regarded as a test item, it aims at improving flow quality / topology into the rear diffuser across the entire car operating envelope.
