Lewis Hamilton remains inconsistent, but Ferrari isn’t concerned about his arrival for the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Scuderia is prepared to embrace the seven-time World Champion, despite recent performances falling short of expectations. Mercedes is struggling, but that doesn’t scare Maranello, which remains fully confident in the decision they’ve made.
Lewis Hamilton’s arrival at the Italian side next year is one of the most anticipated events in the paddock: a partnership that seemed destined and will finally become a reality in 2025. Both parties are reportedly very enthusiastic about the agreement, according to sources within the F1 world, and confidence is sky-high. The British driver’s goal will be to win in red, and all the conditions are in place for that.
However, despite Lewis Hamilton breaking a long winless streak at Silverstone, Mercedes has had a challenging season, with inconsistent results and technical issues, as seen last weekend in the United States Grand Prix at the Austin circuit, where the British driver’s race ended in the gravel after just a few laps. Ferrari’s management has no regrets about their decisions and looks toward 2025 with optimism: the form of the British driver won’t be a problem.
“Even if Ferrari doesn’t win races, [Hamilton] wouldn’t think it was a mistake to sign with them,” explained Ted Kravitz on the Sky F1 podcast. “The situation changes from race to race: sometimes Mercedes performs better than Ferrari and vice versa.” – he pointed out ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix.
“Everything is fine, I don’t think there’s any concern. Lewis can’t wait to be with Ferrari; he says it in every press conference when he’s asked. Ferrari can’t wait to have him. Everything is fine, and they’re all excited.” – the British Formula One pit-lane reporter concluded.
