Everyone talks about Ferrari
Ignazio La Russa, President of the Senate, is well known to the public for his passion for football and his beloved Inter. The Sicilian politician has shown it on several occasions, even attending the recent Champions League final in Munich as a spectator. During an interview on La Politica nel Pallone, a programme on Rai Radio 1, Ignazio La Russa discussed Inter, the national football team, and also commented on Ferrari’s recent struggles, while admitting he is not particularly knowledgeable about motorsport.
Ignazio La Russa’s words
When directly asked by the presenter about Flavio Briatore as a possible solution for Ferrari, Ignazio La Russa replied: “Flavio is a dear friend of mine; whatever he has done, he’s always done very, very well.” – the Italian politician pointed out.
“However, I don’t think that having a great manager would be enough to run Ferrari. At the moment – though I don’t follow motorsport very much, unlike my son – I believe it’s a matter of going much, much deeper than just changing the manager who leads the team. Flavio would be a resource who could give a serious jolt and shake things up; he’s not only capable of growling but also of much more.” – the president of the Senate of the Republic concluded.
