For the second and third instalments in Austria of the year’s first triple-header, Pirelli has made two separate tyre nominations on the same track (as was also the case last year at Silverstone). For the first race at the Red Bull Ring, which took place last weekend and was known as the Steiermark Grand Prix, C2 was the P Zero White hard, C3 was be the P Zero Yellow medium, and C4 was the P Zero Red soft. At the Austrian Grand Prix, which will now be held on an identical track, P Zero White hard will be the C3, P Zero Yellow medium will be the C4 and P Zero Red soft will be the C5: the softest combination in the Pirelli range.
Join us in the afternoon for the latest info, news, updates and live results from the Red Bull Ring, as the second free practice session for the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF21, ready to continue evaluating the ideal set-up ahead of the qualifying session on Saturday and the race on Sunday.
