Mugello has been added to the final version of the 2020 Formula 1 calendar and will host the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix (official name: FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DELLA TOSCANA FERRARI 1000 2020 Mugello) next weekend. The race follows one week after the 2020 Italian Grand Prix at Monza and will be the 1000th Formula 1 race that Ferrari has entered.
The track is located in the beautiful region of Tuscany, in northwest Italy, just 35 kilometres from the historic regional capital of Florence. Although the ‘Mugello’ name had been associated with racing in that area of Tuscany since back in 1914 – having previously referred to a fearsome 38-mile road racing course – the Mugello circuit proper opened in June 1974. Ferrari then purchased the track, based a 75-mile drive away from their Maranello headquarters, in 1988.
Join us for the latest updates and results from the Mugello Circuit, as the second practice session for the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix is about to get underway, with Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc at the wheel of the SF1000, ready to continue evaluating the ideal set-up ahead of the qualifying session and the race on Sunday.
