After the controversies in Melbourne due to a way of organizing the event that caused a lot of discussion, the FIA has come under fire again. During the start of the Porsche Carrera Cup in Miami, the cars were blocked by the truck that was carrying Charles Leclerc’s Scuderia Ferrari SF-23 single-seater, which had been taken away after the crash suffered in the final stages of the second free practice session for the Miami Grand Prix.
From the videos posted on various social media platforms, the truck can be seen with the SF-23 number 16 on board, traveling the last meters of the Miami circuit while the Porsches were on track for their session.
The driver of the red car, in fact, in the last moments of FP2 at the Miami International Autodrome in Florida, USA, was involved in an accident that led him to crash into the barriers while he was simulating a race pace. The single-seater, visibly damaged, was then taken away by the stewards as usual before being brought back to the pits.
It was at this point that the incident occurred, which was criticized by fans and insiders. The truck carrying the SF-23 decided to cross the circuit instead of choosing external roads.
The FIA has not yet given any explanations for what could have turned into a tragedy if one of the Porsches had encountered problems at that time. Last year, during the Japanese Grand Prix, the drivers complained about the presence on the track of a tractor.

Among them, Pierre Gasly was one of the angriest. “They haven’t learned anything,” were the words of the Frenchman. The Alpine driver, who was still driving for AlphaTauri at the time, was undoubtedly referring to what happened several years earlier on the same Japanese circuit with Jules Bianchi who lost his life due to a crane.
