PMI (Mission Winnow) re-signs with Ferrari as Team Partner for 2022. PMI (Mission Winnow) re-signs with Ferrari as Team Partner.

At the end of the 2021 Formula 1 season, Scuderia Ferrari formally dropped the Mission Winnow branding that had appeared sporadically on its Formula 1 cars since 2019. Following speculation Ferrari would lose the backing of major sponsor PMI in 2022, the company’s Mission Winnow brand was absent from the F1-75 when it was officialy revealed in February. Since 2019, the Maranello team have carried the company’s Mission Winnow branding on their Formula 1 cars at select races as part of their nearly 50 year commercial partnership with PMI.

Despite no longer having their branding on the Ferrari livery, PMI explained at that time that their relationships with Formula 1’s most successful team, as well as Moto GP’s factory Ducati team, would continue. And now it seems that Philip Morris International has rejoined the Scuderia Ferrari as a sponsor under its Mission Winnow brand. There is no official announcement yet, but the company is listed on the second row and will not be a title sponsor, as it was in the last few years, but will have a more marginal role.
