Pirelli Test 2022, Ferrari to return on track with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. Ferrari to return on track in France.

The Pirelli test will continue this week on track with a new two-day session at circuit Paul Ricard, with the new 18-inch tires that will be used in the 2022 Formula 1 season. The sole supplier of Formula 1 shouled have been helped by Mercedes for testing at the Le Castellet circuit, but the package announced by Toto Wolff – tied to the budget cap after the expenses necessary to repair Bottas’ car after the crash at Imola – opens the doors to the second seasonal presence of Scuderia Ferrari, which had already tested in Jerez with both of its drivers.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will also drive the mule car prepared by the Maranello team for these tests, alternating on Tuesday and Wednesday. The program includes several runs exclusively with intermediate and extreme wet tires, which will be repeated on both days using the artificial irrigation of the transalpine circuit.
