The summer break that Formula 1 is forced to observe in the 2024 World Championship has just begun, but Pirelli has already stirred excitement by announcing the compounds for the three Grands Prix that will take place after the event in Zandvoort, Netherlands.
These are the three Grands Prix that Formula 1 will contest in September, starting with the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit, which will be held in Monza on September 1.
For the second and final Italian event of the season, Pirelli will offer the following compounds:
Pirelli PZero White Hard C3
Pirelli PZero Yellow Medium C4
Pirelli PZero Red Soft C5
For the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Pirelli has made the same choice as for Monza:
Pirelli PZero White Hard C3
Pirelli PZero Yellow Medium C4
Pirelli PZero Red Soft C5
There’s no two without three. Indeed, for the Singapore Grand Prix, the three softest compounds in the Pirelli range will also be featured:
Pirelli PZero White Hard C3
Pirelli PZero Yellow Medium C4
Pirelli PZero Red Soft C5
While for the two races in Baku and Singapore – two street circuits – the three softest compounds are the most obvious choice, the situation is different for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. This could bring unexpected surprises, especially considering the new asphalt on the Monza track laid just a few weeks ago. The big question mark will be: how will the compounds perform on the new track surface?
