First week of break in the 2024 Formula 1 championship and the drivers take advantage of it to relax. For Charles Leclerc, returning to Monte Carlo gets a special experience as he has expanded his garage with a new car, obviously a Ferrari.
The on-track action is already halted after just two races, both held on Saturday nights to respect the religious culture present in the states that hosted the start of the 2024 Formula 1 championship. While waiting to return to the track next week in Australia, many drivers took the opportunity to relax with their families. Others, however, preferred to use the break to train, while some opted to pick up a new car. This is the case for Charles Leclerc who, upon returning to Monte Carlo, received his new swanky Ferrari to expand his garage.
A few months ago, we saw the Ferrari driver acquire a new vehicle from the Maranello-based manufacturer. The one immortalized several weeks ago was a 812 Competizione Aperta, the top-of-the-line model of the 12-cylinder production. The livery chosen by the Monegasque is simple, entirely in white, with some carbon fiber details. Among these are the blade that cuts the hood in half and several elements of the front splitter. To make it a bit more personal, Charles Leclerc added his race number, 16, to the rear wheel arch.
However, the model that Charles Leclerc picked up in recent days is a completely different story. In fact, after visiting a Ferrari dealership in Monaco, the Ferrari driver returned home with a Ferrari SP3 Daytona Spider. The chosen model represents the extreme pinnacle of Maranello’s production and belongs to the “Icona” collection, a series of models in extremely limited edition. After the SP1 and SP2 Monza, the new Daytona SP3 positions itself as the car with the rear-central V12 par excellence. It takes stylistic elements from past cars and reinterprets them in a modern key. A model that, from the list price, easily exceeds 2 million euros. What makes it unique is the matte black livery with the flag of the principality running along the entire length of the car. Of course, the number 16 on the B-pillar could not be missing.
