Bearman dreams of Ferrari
Perhaps even Ferrari didn’t expect Oliver Bearman to be ready for the Scuderia this early. The British driver, who reached 30 career Grand Prix starts only during the unfortunate event at Suzuka, has already silenced the skeptics with performances of pure substance during his debut year with Haas. A team that scored points in the first two race weekends. Before the serious incident in Japan, Ollie Bearman had even achieved a stunning top-5 in China: with the unreachable Mercedes and Ferrari cars aside, it was Oliver Bearman who stood out as the “best of the rest.”
If Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton represent Ferrari’s present, Oliver Bearman is undeniably its future. The young talent from the Ferrari Driver Academy knows this well, having shed his initial shyness and openly stating that he feels ready for the big step to Maranello.
Bearman’s words
“Of course I feel ready. I think that if I didn’t feel ready to fight at the top, I shouldn’t even show up on track. I feel absolutely ready for podiums and for victories,” he told The Telegraph. “If I am here, it is only thanks to Ferrari, who trusted me and supported me from the very beginning. My biggest long-term dream is to wear a red suit and race with Ferrari. I would be lying if I said otherwise.”
However, Ollie Bearman still has to wait, especially with Lewis Hamilton at the start of 2026, appearing physically and mentally rejuvenated, despite a small step back at Suzuka: “But I don’t think he sees me as a threat. He is the most decorated driver in the history of our sport, a role model for all of us. Right now, my focus is entirely on Haas. I believe that this year, with the new regulations, we have the opportunity to achieve something truly significant.”
