Ferrari has announced via a press release the immediate resignation of Enrico Cardile from his role as technical director. The news had been circulating, and now Ferrari has confirmed the separation of the two parties. After 20 years of work at Ferrari, Enrico Cardile has submitted his resignation as technical director.

Below is the official statement from Scuderia Ferrari regarding the separation of the two parties.

Maranello, 8 July 2024 – Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Enrico Cardile is leaving the company and his position as Technical Director of the Chassis Area.

The engineer, who has been with Ferrari for nearly two decades, has submitted his resignation, and therefore, effective immediately, the Chassis Area is temporarily assigned to Team Principal, Frederic Vasseur.

Enrico Cardile is thanked by the entire Scuderia Ferrari HP for his many years of constant commitment.

    Don’t feel sorry for me , feel sorry for Aston Martin. I, like many others feel
    compelled to expose the utter incompetence and stupidity, so if want to condone their incomprehensible decisions so be it.

One of the worst technical leaders of all time.
Cardile oversaw cars that had chronic understeer, unstable rear ends, insufficient downforce, balance issues, excessive tire degradation, and now chronic vertical oscillation (porpoising & bouncing).
Cardile is the same guy who disagreed with Leclerc and Sainz over the handling problems in 2023. The same guy who said that suspension was overrated in ground effects cars.
Cardile was a disaster.
Marchionne picked him, Binotto embraced him, Ferrari fans were screwed by him.

A technical leader who says suspension is “overrated” in ground effect cars and insists on a suspension type that every other team believes that is unsuitable, is probably not good enough.
