- at the age of 16, he as the Spanish champion of squash
- at the age of 20, his first Formula 1 race was at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix, he finished in ninth
- Carlos has entered the top 10 drivers with the most races without a win. His best result is second (he finished in P2 twice)
