Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari
After the impressive victory at Silverstone with Mercedes and the evident difficulties Ferrari has shown in the last four Grands Prix, Lewis Hamilton has been repeatedly asked if the decision to join the Prancing Horse for the next two years was too hasty.
Lewis Hamilton has never had any doubts and firmly denied any remorse even in the press conference: “No. At the beginning of the season, we had a car that wasn’t even remotely close to Red Bull’s; no one thought we would ever win a race this year.”
Nico Rosberg’s Opinion
Asked on the Sunday of the Silverstone Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg analyzed Lewis Hamilton’s move to Scuderia Ferrari in light of Mercedes’ recent competitiveness: “I think it’s a great way for him to conclude his career, no? Moving to Ferrari is every driver’s dream. He has done what he needed to do at Mercedes, which is also a dream for every driver, and I think it’s fine that way. For Lewis, it will be an incredible experience, and Ferrari could be very strong next year. So, I understand it, and I think it’s right,” explained the 2016 world champion to Sky UK.
