A little context as the video is almost an hour long (The interview has english subtitles): Cesare Fiorio is the legendary Team Manager behind Lancia’s success in rallying in the 80’s, and won 9 GPs (between 1989 and 1991) in Formula One with Ferrari with the likes of Mansell, Prost, Berger and Alesi. He’s also contributed heavily to the start of Fernando Alonso’s career in Formula 1.
As iconic as the cars he created for Lancia, Fiat and Abarth, with winning in his blood and records in his DNA. Cesare Fiorio is a truly unique character in the history of international MotorSport and few can say they have won as much as he has in the most diverse disciplines. Rally, Sport-Prototypes, Formula 1, all the way to offshore racing with the Atlantic crossing record, still unbeaten today. An interview we have been waiting for so long could only be filmed at his farm in Puglia, in the presence of Nigel Mansell’s victorious Ferrari at the 1989 Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix and countless, incredible memories.
