The Autodromo Nazionale Monza concession has been extended to the Automobile Club d’Italia until 31 December 2044 following the signing of a revised agreement on Tuesday, 4 August 2026. The deal gives the historic Italian Grand Prix venue a management horizon stretching across almost another two decades.
The agreement was signed in Monza by the Consorzio Villa Reale e Parco di Monza, the Automobile Club d’Italia and Autodromo Nazionale Monza. It modifies and reshapes the duration of the existing concession, extending it until the end of 2044.
Who signed the new Monza concession agreement
The document was signed by Paolo Pilotto, president of the Consorzio Villa Reale e Parco di Monza and mayor of Monza, together with the consortium’s director general, Bartolomeo Corsini.
General Tullio Del Sette, a member of ACI’s national governing council, also signed the agreement under delegated authority from Automobile Club d’Italia president Geronimo La Russa. Giuseppe Redaelli, president of SIAS-Autodromo Nazionale Monza, was the fourth signatory.
Monza concession extended until December 2044
The revised contract means that the circuit will continue to operate under the Automobile Club’s authority until 31 December 2044. ACI is also expected to support an investment programme worth €12 million, covering various forms of work at the Monza facility.
The extension provides a long-term framework for the management and development of one of motorsport’s most recognisable venues. Monza remains a central fixture on the 2026 Formula 1 calendar, with the Italian Grand Prix scheduled to take place at the circuit in September.
The agreement is particularly significant for Ferrari and its supporters, with Monza serving as the Scuderia’s home Grand Prix and one of the most emotionally important events of the season. The circuit’s high-speed characteristics will also place renewed attention on Ferrari’s development work, including its planned engine upgrade for the 2026 Monza race.
Long-term stability for the Temple of Speed
By extending the concession for almost another 20 years, the agreement offers greater continuity for future investment and the management of the historic circuit. It also strengthens the long-term relationship between the Automobile Club d’Italia, the local consortium and SIAS-Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
For Formula 1 fans, the agreement provides further stability for a venue that has long been one of the championship’s most iconic destinations and remains closely connected to the history of Ferrari and the Italian Grand Prix.
