Ferrari hopes for hot conditions to shine in Monaco: weather forecast for the Monaco Grand Prix
We took a look at the weather forecast for the 2026 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix weekend, a race where Ferrari will be under pressure to deliver a strong result on the streets of the Principality.
For the sixth round of the 2026 Formula 1 season, the championship arrives at the home race of Charles Leclerc. With Ferrari still chasing its first victory of the campaign, expectations will be high in Monte Carlo, making the weather conditions a potentially important factor throughout the weekend.
Weather forecast for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend
Friday
The sixth race weekend of the season will follow the traditional Formula 1 format. Teams will have two free practice sessions available on Friday, although the weather could be slightly unfavourable during parts of the day.
There is a possibility of light rain in some periods, while temperatures are expected to hover around 21°C when the cars first take to the track. These conditions could make the opening day particularly important as teams work to understand tyre behaviour and fine-tune their setups for the narrow Monaco circuit.
Saturday
Conditions are expected to improve on Saturday. Temperatures should remain consistently around 25°C during the second day of on-track action, providing a much more stable environment for both the final practice session and qualifying.
Some cloud cover may be present throughout the day, but no rainfall is currently forecast. If those predictions hold true, teams should be able to complete their programmes without major interruptions, while drivers push for the all-important qualifying positions around the streets of Monte Carlo.
Sunday
Temperatures are expected to reach approximately 27°C by the time the cars line up for the sixth race of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
No precipitation is currently expected during the Monaco Grand Prix itself, which means dry and relatively warm conditions should greet the drivers on race day. Ferrari will certainly be hoping that the higher temperatures play in its favour as the Scuderia targets its first victory of the 2026 campaign on one of the most iconic circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.
