Monaco GP 2026 weather forecast: a few clouds over the Principality, but no rain expected
On the eve of the first free practice sessions around the streets of Monte Carlo, one of the most iconic venues in Formula 1 history, anticipation continues to build for several reasons. The race will mark Charles Leclerc’s first appearance at his home Grand Prix since signing his new contract extension with Ferrari, while the Scuderia is widely regarded as one of the favorites for victory following its encouraging performance in Canada.
There is also another factor likely to reassure both drivers and fans: the weather conditions. Unlike the previous two race weekends in Miami and Montreal, where the threat of rain, including heavy showers, was a major talking point, the probability of precipitation in Monaco appears extremely low throughout the entire weekend.
According to forecasts provided by AccuWeather, sunshine is expected to dominate over the Principality, accompanied by only a few clouds. Maximum temperatures are forecast to remain stable at around 24°C, while the chance of rain is not expected to exceed 3% on any day of the event.

With dry conditions expected from Friday through Sunday, teams should be able to complete their programs without weather-related interruptions. The stable forecast will also allow engineers to focus entirely on setup work and tire management, two factors that are traditionally crucial around the tight and demanding streets of Monaco.
For drivers, the absence of rain means qualifying is likely to become even more decisive than usual, with track position expected to play a major role in determining the outcome of the Grand Prix. If the forecast holds, Formula 1 fans can look forward to a classic sunny Monaco weekend with ideal conditions for one of the most prestigious races on the calendar.
