F1 | The touching Lego video with Mick Schumacher for the Ferrari F2004: “Dad Michael tamed that beast”

To mark the launch of the Lego brick version of Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2004, the Danish company released a beautiful video featuring commentary from his son Mick, who recalls his childhood memories of watching his father achieve triumphs that made the history of Maranello and Formula 1.

After the first announcements, Lego has officially put the Ferrari F2004 of Michael Schumacher from the Icons line on sale in recent days.

From 1 March 2026, Formula 1 fans, Ferrari supporters and lovers of the legendary Danish bricks will have the opportunity to purchase one of the most successful single-seaters in the history of Maranello and the Circus. The confirmed price is €89.99, in line with what had already been anticipated by rumours in recent weeks.

For the occasion, in addition to the official images highlighting the details and the full description of model #11375, made up of 735 pieces and measuring 7 cm in height, 32 cm in length and 13 cm in width, complete with a display plaque and a Michael Schumacher minifigure on the podium holding the trophy, Lego has also released a striking promotional video narrated by the son of the Kaiser, Mick Schumacher.

In the video, the red car with which Michael won his seventh and final Formula 1 world championship circles on a white sheet of paper. The tyre marks left behind gradually form stylised images of Ferrari’s Prancing Horse and of Schumacher himself, captured in his famous celebratory jump on the podium that he performed after every victory.

In the background, Mick – born in March 1999 and therefore still a child at the time of those triumphs – opens his heart and mind, recalling the feats of his father Michael at the wheel of his car, a machine that was a beast in the truest sense of the word.

“My first memories of my dad racing are of him winning with a Ferrari. My dad and that car were working together, trying to reach 100% perfection. The V10 engine, the new rear suspension and the refined aerodynamics: it was a beast, but my dad could tame it.”

“He became one with the car. It gave him the confidence to push it to the limit without going beyond it. And now that I am also a racing driver, I understand how rare it is to find the right combination of instinct and engineering with the power to leave a mark on history.”
