Interview with Mick Schumacher:
Is there a race you are most looking forward to in terms of the track?
Mick Schumacher: “Suzuka is one of the tracks I don’t know yet, but I’ve already driven it in the simulator and it’s a lot of fun. Obviously I am looking forward to the whole season, it’s going to be my first season in F1. But definitely there is one that sticks out, which is Spa and that’s also a funny story to it because it is basically 30 years since my dad’s first F1 race”
What is the greatest F1 moment you have experienced so far?
Mick Schumacher: “Looking back at all the races, I think the first championship title with Ferrari & my dad is definitely one of the goosebump moments when I see it and rewatch it so I would say that one.”
Who will be F1 world champion this year?
Mick Schumacher: “Because I’m racing in F1 myself now, I would say [me], but of course that is pretty ambitious (laughs). At the end of the day, I concentrate on myself and try to deliver the best I can.”
Do you remember a special F1 GP moment?
Mick Schumacher: “I was there in Budapest in 2010, it was very exciting for me since it was the first time I also attended the meetings. In 2017/2018 in Hockenheim, with Mercedes & Ferrari, that was also very exciting for me. Over time, I’ve learned not to stress myself out unnecessarily. I have a strong team around me, which always gives me the support and the opportunity to relax and to concentrate, so that I can perform well on the race weekend.”
