Formula One’s Sebastian Vettel is set to pay a tribute to legendary former Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher at this weekend’s Eifel GP.
Little is known of the condition of seven-time F1 world champion Schumacher since a skiing accident in 2013.
But this weekend, Ferrari and Vettel have decided to pay a tribute in Schumacher’s homeland.
In a video posted online to Ferrari’s Twitter account, Vettel said: “For this weekend’s German Grand Prix I will wear a new helmet.
“It doesn’t look very different but it actually it is because underneath we will have Michael’s [Schumacher] original design from 2006 as a 3D print.
“It’s difficult to see from afar, but when you get a little bit closer you can see we have Michael’s stars, the Chinese dragon, the signs on the side and Michael’s ‘MS’ logo.”
