The “Gang of Seven” is only made up of six teams now. According to F1-Insider.com, Mercedes is no longer taking part in the rebellion of the non-Ferrari teams against the FIA and their secret agreement with the Scuderia regarding the power unit from 2019.
The reason is said to be a conversation between FIAT and Ferrari President John Elkann and Daimler Board Member Ola Källenius. Apparently they do not want to cause any further damage to the image of Formula 1 and the manufacturers involved.

This crumbles the front against the FIA – Ferrari settlement, given the fact that Mercedes was previously the spokesman for the insurgent teams who accused FIA President Jean Todt for the outcome of the situation.
Most likely Red Bull will now step into the breach and take on the Mercedes role to continue asking for investigations. Supposedly Red Bull are disappointed and they want to know the reason for the private agreement between Mercedes/Ferrari.
