In those years, Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari’s main rival was Lewis Hamilton, who is now in the media spotlight for the surprising move to the Italian side in 2025.

The Englishman from Stevenage, with seven world championships in his record, is about to experience his last season with Mercedes before donning the red colors. At the presentation of the new Red Bull RB20, the reigning champion Max Verstappen tried to provide his interpretation of the situation.

The Dutchman confirmed that he understands his rival’s decision: “I think it will be ‘cool.’ If he is happy to take this step, I believe he should.” – the Dutchman pointed out.

The idea of a transfer is far from Max Verstappen’s mind: “I feel comfortable where I am. It’s not something I want to change.” But the Dutchman knows that nothing is impossible, leaving the door open for the future: “But, from what I have experienced so far, I also know that in life, you can never say never. But now, no, it’s not a thought in my head. Still, it’s just Formula 1, and I want to do other things besides F1,” concluded the three-time Formula One world champion.
