Mattia Binotto, Scuderia Ferrari Chief Technical Officer, is obviously extremely satisfied after a perfect weekend for Scuderia Ferrari at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel taking his third win of the current Formula One season and Kimi Raikkonen finishing in a strong second place, which helps the Maranello team retake the lead in the Formula 1 Constructor Standings, ahead of the next round, scheduled to take place in Canada.
“This weekend’s result was built on the front row we secured on Saturday in qualifying. It shows that the SF70H was well suited to all the conditions we encountered over the weekend at a circuit that requires maximum aerodynamic downforce. But in fact, we can claim that, so far, our car has behaved very well on all types of track. We are very pleased with what we have achieved in Monaco, it is a team effort and the perfect reward for the hard work that the team has put in to make this possible. Now we look ahead, one step at a time, aware of the importance of upcoming developments. For the moment we are not looking at the standings, there is still a long way to go and the fight will be decided only in the final stages of the season. We have to take each race at a time and try to get the best possible result.” – Mattia Binotto explained, as reported by the Italian media.
Scuderia Ferrari now heads for Canada, where the next race of the 2017 Formula One season will text place on 11 June at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec. The Maranello team will try to extend its lead in the Formula 1 Constructor Standings, while German driver Sebastian Vettel will also try to win another round against his main rival for the title, Lewis Hamilton.
