Ferrari’s Team Principal, Frédéric Vasseur, is pleased with Lewis Hamilton’s recent performance in Formula 1, as the seven-time Formula 1 world champion has won two of the last three races of the championship.
The Maranello team is ready to welcome Lewis Hamilton, and Frédéric Vasseur praises the English driver’s progress in Formula 1. The seven-time World Champion has won two of the last three races, in England and Belgium, and finished on the podium in third place in Hungary. In Budapest, Hamilton notably defended himself fiercely against a frustrated Max Verstappen.
With Formula 1 on a break, it’s time to take stock of the first half of the championship. While Max Verstappen is experiencing a challenging period, as is Ferrari, Mercedes is making a strong comeback. The Woking team, victorious in Austria, England, and Belgium, is fully engaged in chasing McLaren and Ferrari. The comeback is tough but not impossible, even against the seemingly unreachable Red Bull.
Lewis Hamilton has been the standout driver in the last three championship races. After a significant win at Silverstone, he demonstrated great race solidity at Spa-Francorchamps. Although betrayed by the extreme strategy of his teammate, who was later disqualified, Lewis Hamilton deserved his second victory of the season.
Frédéric Vasseur is also smiling, preparing to welcome #44 to Maranello next season: “We all know the positive aspects his arrival will bring to the team, not just because of his vast experience,” said the Ferrari team principal in an interview with Sky.
“Since the beginning of the season, it has been said that George Russell is the faster of the two Mercedes drivers. But for now, it is Lewis Hamilton who has scored more points for his team. In terms of efficiency, he is, in my opinion, a good benchmark.” – the French manager concluded.
Formula 1 will return to action in the Netherlands on Sunday, August 25, at the Zandvoort circuit.
