It was a day Lewis Hamilton will hardly forget—the day he debuted at Fiorano with Scuderia Ferrari. The Brit, celebrated by the fans, shared his emotions during his first team radio as a driver for the Maranello team.
On a gloomy Wednesday morning in mid-January in Modena, Hamilton experienced the thrill of sitting in the cockpit of a Ferrari for the first time. At 9:16 AM, a red figure emerged through the fog on the Fiorano track. With his iconic number 44 on the car, the SF-23 hit the circuit, completing nearly 100 kilometers—the first for the British champion at the wheel of a Maranello machine.
At the end of his debut day with the Scuderia, the 1985-born driver couldn’t hide his strong emotions. Sir Lewis’s words were clear: “It was one of the best days of my life,” admitted the multi-time world champion.
Accompanied by his parents on his debut day at Fiorano, Lewis Hamilton was greeted by a large number of Ferrari fans who gathered around the Modena circuit. Ferrari captured the essence of Lewis Hamilton’s first outing in a video and team radio shared on the team’s social media accounts.
