Ferrari: Lewis Hamilton’s thoughtful gift to Maranello staff
Just before the holiday season, Lewis Hamilton made a special gesture for the Ferrari employees at the Racing Division in Maranello, leaving a small gift to show his gratitude for their hard work throughout the 2025 season.
The 2025 season is now behind them, and Ferrari is already looking ahead to the crucial 2026 campaign, which will see major regulatory changes aimed at helping the team return to the top of the standings. In these final days before the Christmas break, Lewis Hamilton visited every department within Ferrari’s Racing Division, personally leaving a token of appreciation for the staff.
Lewis Hamilton’s first year in red was far from easy. The seven-time world champion faced numerous challenges and endured what has been described as the most difficult season of his career. Despite a strong start with a pole position and Sprint victory at the Chinese GP, he struggled to consistently match the pace of his rivals. Nevertheless, the #44 driver is determined to embrace the new regulatory cycle, hoping to have a competitive car in 2026 and perhaps even surpass Michael Schumacher’s legacy with the Scuderia he now represents.
The gift from Hamilton
Throughout the season, Lewis Hamilton repeatedly expressed his gratitude toward everyone working at Ferrari, even during the toughest moments. His pre-holiday visit to the Racing Division clearly reflected his kind-hearted nature, showing that he values the efforts of the team. This wasn’t his first visit; the Briton had previously toured Maranello in January when he first joined Ferrari. To close out the year, he left a personal gift for the staff still present at the Ferrari Racing Division.
The gift included a signed card, making it a unique keepsake, and a package from Fortnum & Mason, the famous London store known for its premium teas. Inside the box was a selection of fine teas accompanied by various types of biscuits. It’s unclear if every staff member received the exact same gift, but the gesture undoubtedly highlights the generosity of the seven-time world champion. Such a thoughtful act is far from ordinary and surely left everyone pleasantly surprised by both Lewis Hamilton’s visit and the small but meaningful present.
Lewis Hamilton has often spoken about building relationships and culture at Ferrari, and actions like these reinforce his commitment. As he partners with Charles Leclerc for another shot at glory, gestures of appreciation could play a big role in motivating the squad through the intense development ahead.
Ferrari supporters will see this as classic Lewis Hamilton—classy, considerate, and fully invested. After a tough introduction to life in red, his optimism and kindness shine through, setting a positive tone for what promises to be a pivotal year.
