Lewis Hamilton has offered a relaxed glimpse into the final days of his Formula 1 summer break before returning to Ferrari duty at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, sharing moments from Hawaii that included training, family time, goats and girlfriend Kim Kardashian. The seven-time world champion made clear that the period away had served its purpose, telling followers he was heading back to the track “recharged and ready”.
The timing gives the personal update a clear Formula 1 context. The Dutch Grand Prix takes place at Zandvoort from 21 to 23 August, meaning Lewis Hamilton is now moving directly from the summer shutdown back into a Sprint weekend with Ferrari. Friday features the only free practice session before Sprint Qualifying, leaving little time for drivers and teams to settle back into competitive rhythm.
Lewis Hamilton shares a different side of his summer break
Lewis Hamilton’s latest collection of holiday moments mixed the more familiar signs of an elite athlete’s break with a noticeably personal side. Training remained part of his time away, but the images also covered quieter moments in Hawaii, including time around animals and photographs of the Ferrari driver holding goats — a detail that quickly became one of the most playful elements of the post.
Kim Kardashian also appeared in the collection, including a moment on an ocean-side swing. The pair spent part of the break together in Hawaii, where their respective family circles were also present. Other coverage of the trip documented beach activities, surfing and time with relatives, while Lewis Hamilton’s brother Nicolas Hamilton was among the family members reported to have joined the holiday.
Rather than framing the holiday around Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton kept his own message simple. He described the photographs as only part of his summer break, expressed gratitude for the time away and said he was returning to racing recharged and ready.

From family time back to Ferrari and Zandvoort
That transition is now immediate. Formula 1 resumes at Zandvoort this weekend, with Ferrari preparing for one of the most compressed formats of the season. Practice begins on Friday before Sprint Qualifying later the same day, followed by the Sprint and main qualifying on Saturday and the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday.
For Lewis Hamilton, the return comes after a summer break that was unusually open in offering followers glimpses of life away from the paddock. His recent posts have included friends, family and Kim Kardashian, alongside the training and recovery that accompany a pause in a Formula 1 season. Earlier in August, he had already characterised the period as one of resting, restoring and recharging.
The latest update therefore closes that chapter with a straightforward message rather than a prediction about Ferrari’s performance in the Netherlands. Lewis Hamilton has had his time away, shared some of the people and moments that filled it, and now turns his attention back to the SF-26 as Formula 1 resumes at Zandvoort.
