Lewis Hamilton shares inspiring message of support for Chinese students taking the Gaokao exam. Lewis Hamilton urges students to stay focused during China’s biggest exam.

Lewis Hamilton has taken a moment away from the demands of Formula 1 to send a message of encouragement to millions of students across China who are taking part in the Gaokao, one of the most important academic examinations in the world.

In a video shared through his official RedNote account, the Ferrari driver addressed students directly, offering words of motivation as they face one of the biggest challenges of their educational journey.

Lewis Hamilton said:

“Good luck to everyone taking the Gaokao. Stay focused, give it your all, and finish strong. Still we rise.”

The message reflects the mindset that has defined Lewis Hamilton’s career throughout nearly two decades at the highest level of motorsport. The phrase “Still We Rise” has become closely associated with the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion and represents resilience, determination and the ability to overcome obstacles regardless of the circumstances.

The Gaokao is widely regarded as one of the most demanding examinations in the world. Every year, millions of students across China take part in the national university entrance exam, with the results often playing a crucial role in shaping future academic and career opportunities.

For that reason, messages of support from globally recognized figures often attract significant attention. Lewis Hamilton has built a particularly strong following in China over the years, not only through his achievements on the racetrack but also through his presence on social media and his engagement with fans around the world.

The timing of the message comes during an especially positive period for the Ferrari driver. The Briton recently secured a podium finish at the Monaco Grand Prix, continuing to build momentum with the Maranello team as the Formula 1 season progresses.

While success in Formula 1 and success in education are very different challenges, the principles highlighted in Lewis Hamilton’s message remain remarkably similar: preparation, focus, perseverance and the ability to perform under pressure when it matters most.

For many students preparing to enter examination halls across China, hearing encouragement from one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1 history provided an additional boost of motivation during a crucial moment.
