Ferrari’s goals for the end of the season: Lewis Hamilton has no doubts
Lewis Hamilton still believes in Ferrari’s potential and has set clear goals for the final stretch of the 2025 Formula 1 season. After 19 races with the Maranello-based team, the seven-time world champion has yet to claim a podium finish in a Grand Prix — except for the Sprint events in China and Miami. Despite that, Hamilton remains confident about what both he and the team can achieve before the season concludes.
Following a narrow defeat in the 2024 Constructors’ Championship — missing the title by just 14 points — Ferrari entered the 2025 season determined to fight back. However, things did not go as planned. McLaren has shown impressive consistency and pace since the opening rounds, leaving little room for rivals to challenge at the top of the standings. The Woking team has already secured this year’s Constructors’ title with several races to spare, while the battle for second place remains extremely close. Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull are separated by only ten points.
Lewis Hamilton defines Ferrari’s objectives
Speaking to the media in Austin, Lewis Hamilton outlined his main goals for the remaining five races of the 2025 season with Ferrari. “I’d say consistency,” he explained, “or at least managing to get on the podium at some point.” The driver of car number 44 went on to add: “Finishing ahead of Mercedes, and if I can help the team secure second place in the Constructors’ Championship, that would be a good way to close out the year.”
Throughout the season, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull have all struggled with fluctuating performance levels — a fact reflected in their recent results. Lewis Hamilton acknowledged this unpredictability, saying: “It’s really difficult. Mercedes won the last race, and in this one, they were behind us. It’s hard to understand why it happens, why there are so many ups and downs. I just hope our car is stronger next week.”
With only a handful of races left, Ferrari’s target is clear: consistency, podium contention, and a strong finish ahead of their closest rivals. For Lewis Hamilton, ending his first season in red on a high note would not only mark a personal achievement but also reinforce Ferrari’s momentum heading into 2026.
