The British driver made it clear that he doesn’t believe such talk benefits the team, especially as Ferrari continue to navigate through a challenging season marked by inconsistency and high expectations.
Hamilton rejects Horner-to-Ferrari rumours: “These stories don’t help”
Speaking to journalists ahead of the Austin weekend, Lewis Hamilton explained that the team remains fully focused on progress rather than on off-track gossip. He began by outlining Ferrari’s approach for the upcoming race, emphasizing commitment and continued development.
“We’re going to give everything in Austin and keep improving,” Lewis Hamilton stated. “I’ve gone over everything that’s happened so far this season and identified what still needs to be done. I believe that now, with a bit more performance from the car, we can turn things around and achieve better results.”
When asked about the growing speculation involving Christian Horner, Hamilton made it clear that he views the rumours as counterproductive to Ferrari’s goals. The British driver underlined the importance of unity and focus within the team during this critical phase of development.
“I don’t know where the stories about Horner are coming from,” he explained, “but the team has made its stance on the future very clear, and we’re all working in that direction. These rumours don’t help — for me, it’s all about keeping our focus ahead and building the foundation for 2026.”
Lewis Hamilton outlines his approach for the rest of the F1 season
As the 2025 Formula 1 campaign enters its closing stages, Lewis Hamilton also reflected on how he intends to approach the final six races. With Ferrari yet to score a race victory this year, the British driver views this phase as an opportunity to refine internal processes and strengthen team dynamics ahead of next season’s challenges.
“My approach for the end of the season?” Hamilton said. “I see these last six weekends as a testing ground — a chance to improve procedures, strengthen relationships, and enhance communication. Everyone back at the factory wants to deliver great results, and we’re staying fully focused on that goal.”
Despite the noise surrounding Christian Horner and Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton’s message was one of discipline and determination. As the team prepares for the United States Grand Prix, the focus remains firmly on performance, teamwork, and laying the groundwork for a stronger future under Fred Vasseur’s leadership.
