Lewis Hamilton impressed during the Singapore Sprint, showing strong pace in particularly tricky track conditions. Speaking during Sky Sport F1’s live coverage, Marc Gené highlighted above all the seven-time world champion’s positive attitude.
Marc Gené praises Lewis Hamilton’s Singapore form
“Lewis is going through a very positive period. Even when he arrived at the circuit this morning, he was showing great enthusiasm. He feels comfortable, especially when the asphalt is damp and progressively drying. Today he drove a really good race,” Marc Gené commented.
The assessment adds to the encouraging signs around Lewis Hamilton during the Singapore weekend, where changing grip levels and damp conditions have placed an extra premium on confidence and adaptability. Ferrari has already faced a demanding challenge at Marina Bay, with Fred Vasseur highlighting the difficulty of extracting performance across the Sprint format.
Lewis Hamilton’s ability to feel comfortable as the track evolves could therefore prove valuable for Ferrari as the weekend continues, particularly if conditions remain unpredictable. The characteristics of the circuit also make confidence under braking and through low-speed sections especially important, as shown by the Marina Bay circuit demands facing Ferrari.
