The Ferrari driver spoke to the media about his frustration after the race in Barcelona, but also his intention to make real progress as the season continues. “The car just wasn’t working here.” Those were Hamilton’s first words in frustration.
Lewis Hamilton already looking ahead after Spanish disappointment: “Canada is special”
After a difficult weekend, Hamilton maintained a positive outlook, stressing the importance of preparing as best as possible for Montreal: “Canada is a special country, very different from here obviously. Hopefully in that race the corners and the weekend dynamics will swing back in our favour.”
The seven-time Formula 1 world champion then confirmed that he would continue working closely with the team to find effective solutions: “The work with the team and in the simulator will be fundamental. We need to analyse everything and find the right direction. There’s a lot to work on.”
Despite the difficulties encountered during the race, Lewis Hamilton acknowledged some positive signs that give hope for the rest of the championship. The focus is now on car development and optimising race strategies: “From here on it’s about building. Building on what we have, finding real progress and aiming for consistency.”
#44 concluded by thanking the fans and the team for their continued support, promising maximum commitment to recover ground in the upcoming races.
