Sir Lewis Hamilton to soon be dressed in red
After an uncertain start to the season, Ferrari fans may have had some doubts about Lewis Hamilton’s current competitiveness. However, his impressive victory at Silverstone in challenging conditions has reassured them about the performance of the 39-year-old champion from England. Sir Lewis Hamilton will finish the 2024 Formula 1 season with Mercedes and join the Maranello team for the 2025 and 2026 campaigns, forming a historic partnership that will see the most successful driver in history at the helm of the most successful team ever in Formula 1.
A new experience with Ferrari
Over the years, Lewis Hamilton has always raced for teams based in Great Britain, between McLaren and Mercedes, so the move to Ferrari will mark a real break from the past for him: “Naturally, it will be something new. And it will also be stimulating because it’s new territory for me, a new experience. It will be a challenge and I love challenges,” he told Martin Brundle of Sky UK in an interview during the British Grand Prix weekend at the Silverstone circuit.
“I expect everything to be very different at Ferrari. The two teams I have been with were British, so in Italy I will come into contact with a completely different culture,” Lewis Hamilton continued, adding: “If you think about us English, we are very calm and very composed. While Italians are much more emotional. It’s a very, very different culture. I really don’t know what to expect, but I have already raced in Italy and I believe everything will be very different, in its own way special and unique,” concluded the British champion in his interview with Martin Brundle.
